Dr. Lindauer is a Washington native, having been raised near the Canadian border in Oroville, Washington. He attended Washington State University and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1985. Employment opportunities led him to California where he worked in various management capacities. In 1989, he enrolled in Southern California College of Optometry. After completing the four-year program, he was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree. At that time, he and his wife, Carolyn, returned to Washington State to be closer to family and pursue a higher quality of living. In September of 1993, Dr. Lindauer purchased an existing eyecare practice from an O.D. who was retiring. That practice was located at 301 E. Sharp Avenue.
