For 25 years, Hospice of Spokane has been serving our community, providing care and support to terminally ill persons and their families. Hospice care is provided by Interdisciplinary Teams, comprised of physicians, nurses, social workers, nurse aides, chaplains, counselors and specially-trained volunteers. Our staff and volunteers consider it a privilege to provide this kind of quality care and support to terminally ill persons and their families.Hospice is a philosophy of care, which emphasizes the principles of death with dignity and grace, comfort care, the client’s right to make their own decisions, and alleviation of fears of dying. As part of our care, Hospice of Spokane provides expert pain and symptom management, all medication, durable medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal illness, regardless of the costs. In addition, Hospice of Spokane provides bereavement support for the families for 13 months following the death.
