Drs. Meuler and Ryan founded Five Mile Eye Care on December 1st, 2000. Previously, Dr. Meuler had practiced at a location on Francis Avenue for more than 25 years. Dr. Ryan had practiced in Wisconsin for 10 years and then another 10 at his office in the Northpointe area before joining Dr. Meuler in 1999 at the Francis office. Two years later they decided to upgrade their facilities and moved to the current office on Country Homes Boulevard where the practice is open five days a week - including some Saturdays. In 2002 a branch office on the South Hill, located at Everything in Sight Optical Boutique, was opened when the old Family Vision Center was purchased. Dr. Ryan sees patients at that office one day per week while a new associate, Dr. Michael Sirott, is available an additional two days a week.
