ARO is a New Testament Greek word for “art,” that means, “to fit.” ARO Designs is a partnership between artists Michael and Lynda Sheets. After meeting in art school they founded ARO Designs in Spokane in 1972. In 1973 they moved to Los Angeles, and after a period in Washington State's Tri-Cities, they returned to Spokane in 1993.
